We dare you to become warriors of love, because the revolution is in the love, truth and strength we share and create. It will not be televised, come in a publication that arrives hidden in an envelope, be found in the ivory towers of academia, nor come from the folks who view us as a demographic to exploit and profit from, or by women co-opting misogynist male privilege and power, or by any one who thinks they have a monopoly on cool, and certainly not from those who sell out to be in. But for one week a year, 600 acres is transformed into a place where love, discourse and revolution are in full swing. The cauldron is boiling over! Theories on gender, sex, race, and class are being taught, challenged and shaped on the personal to global level. For some, just one hell of a party is being staged. Identity politics are all the rage, from femme parades to the butch strut, butch privilege workshops, to buying cloths with labels to strut around in at the dance after night stage.
The Goddess and Great spirit are alive and well from opening ceremony at night stage ‘till closing ceremony at the acoustic stage,remiding us that all acts of love and pleasure, caring for the earth and each other are their worship. You name it; it’s happening, from recovery at oasis to total indulgence at the twilightzone.
